Bankrate.com required a redesign of the home pages, sub sections, and creation of consistent, core pages templates from a mobile first perspective. A visual design refresh of prioritized key pages. Consolidation of existing sites into a unified site and single navigation structure. A visual refresh implemented across all pages leveraging an established style guide and pattern library.

Accomplishments

Led a multifunctional team to develop and deploy the mobile web strategy
Responsible for beginning to end web visual architecture, UI/UX translating into a contemporary modern mobile experience – which increased user conversation rates by 22% with additional revenue of over 10M annually

challenge

Bankrate had not undergone a design refresh in over 12 years. I was hired to lead the visual design team and provide creative direction and build the UX practice to bring the company’s primary web destination into current mobile first standards. In addition I developed the company’s 1st native mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms.

Contribution

I was responsible for all creative direction, information architecture, UI/UX as well as hand-on graphic design and website visual design. I designed and developed everything from high-level site maps, detailed wire frames to fully realized user interface designs delivering visual assets, CSS based style sheets & design specifications.
